Master Global Business Management in a Live Business Simulation
What if you could experience business in real time, making decisions as an owner in a risk-free environment and seeing […]
The Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Business Management is designed to equip you with the essential business knowledge and management skills for you to succeed in the ever-evolving business world. It covers a wide range of business and management topics, including aspects of business environments, people management and digital business and marketing skills, equipping you with practical skills for real-life situations.
By taking this one-year programme, you will gain a recognised stand-alone Level 4 qualification which is equivalent to year one of an undergraduate degree. This will provide you with the opportunity to either boost your career or take the first step towards completing a full undergraduate degree. Once you have completed the CertHE, you can progress directly into the second year of our Business Management BA (Hons) undergraduate degree programme.
You will study modules covering topics such as financial accounting, people management, organisational behaviour, personal and professional skills development, data analysis, fundamentals of business, and more. Covering key areas in business such as marketing, finance, and principles of management, this CertHE will enable you to gain an in-depth understanding of core business principles.
You will benefit from a hands-on approach to learning, where you will learn through real-world projects, case studies, and challenges which will allow you to apply your knowledge to practical settings. This course uses flexible teaching methods, where you will have both traditional face-to-face teaching as well as virtual lectures and seminars, as well as asynchronous and multimedia resources through our online platform, WebLearn.
This programme utilises both formative and summative assessments, including:
These assessments are tailored to help you apply your learning in real-world business contexts, ensuring you’re ready to use your new skills in your professional career after graduation.
At London Metropolitan University, we’re focused on a digital future and your degree plays an important part in preparation for this, helping you to achieve your employability goals and life ambitions. That’s why we use a blended learning model, combining online and on-campus learning. You can find out more about our approach to blended learning, including the equipment you will need, on our blended learning page.
Daytime, evening and weekend, and weekend only timetables
Alongside our daytime timetables, we also offer evening and weekend, or weekend only timetables. These options provide the same levels of study support with the flexibility to balance your full-time studies with personal commitments.
The above timings are indicative only, the exact timings of your teaching, and information on which sessions are on-campus and which are live online will be confirmed at enrolment when you receive your timetable. As part of your course, you will also need to spend time on self-guided learning including completing any assessments.
All modules are core and are worth 15 credits unless otherwise specified.
The course information displayed on this page is correct for the academic year 2025/26. We aim to run the course as advertised; however, changes may be necessary due to updates to the curriculum (due to academic or industry developments), student demand, or UK compliance reasons.
