How long are the tutorials?
Tutorials last for 30 minutes. If you require more time it is possible to book more than one appointment.
Where do tutorials take place?
Tutorials take place both face to face and online (on Zoom or WebEx).
Please note that we do not proofread whole assignments and will not make any corrections for you. Our job is to help you understand how you can improve and to support you in making any changes yourself.

We offer ongoing support workshops on a variety of academic subjects such as structuring an argument, academic style, and criticality as well as maths know-how computing skills. If you miss a workshop that you wanted to attend, you can book a one-to-one tutorial where we can go through the content with you. You can also watch our videos and other materials on your VLE related to that topic. Finally, we often repeat our workshops so keep an eye out for another date and time on the workshop schedule.
What will I learn during the workshops?
In the workshops, we will explain and demonstrate how to improve different academic skills. The workshops are interactive so we will set small activities and tasks for you to practice what you are learning.
Book on to a workshop, a one-to-one appointment or access learning materials from your VLE.
